For the last eight-nine months I was at home and that was my personal choice as I wanted to take time out for myself so that I could justify the next character that I play. I wanted to spend time with my friends, with my family.

Took this role for the language challenge

These days Sneha is seen as the lead character Vidhi in ‘Janam Janam Ka Saath’. She says about her role, ‘My character’s name is Vidhi. Obviously she is the heroine of the show and all I can say is that she is very charming, sweet and that amazing girl who is ready to sacrifice anything for her family and loved one but at the same time, she is self-centered. Takes a stand for that too. In my previous show, I had played Gujarati and my character Vidhi is Marwari, so its Marwari language inspired me to take up this character. I thought I would work on a new language and culture and make my role stronger.

acting is my heartbeat

Talking about her passion for acting, Sneha Jain says, ‘It is my heartbeat. Acting is my breath, it is everything. I cannot even imagine my life without acting, without the camera. Every day I miss that camera I miss being on set. Acting is my inspiration because acting makes me happy. I love getting into the depth of a character. And then slowly when you start living the character and then you don’t need to think much but the process of becoming that character and start living that character. It is like 3-4 months, in which you get set, you get into character and then you move smoothly.

Social media gives opportunities to artists

Continuing her point, she says, ‘Earlier people did not know me much and I used to run after people and ask for work, but now people have started believing me that I have achieved something and done something and felt That my time is equally important and thus the industry has changed for me. When I started working, they would ask for my pictures and I would just click and mail them. It was difficult to reach people as there was no social media and there used to be fixed timings for auditions and huge crowds and long waits. It was a completely different pattern. Now thanks to social media everything is easily accessible. You can interact with people through their pages. You can just scan the barcode and send your details and now everything just got smarter. Now you can give audition sitting at home and it saves time. This change is good for all.
