Sridevi wanted Janhvi Kapoor to be a doctor

The daughter of Boney Kapoor and late actress Sridevi made her debut in the Bollywood industry with Shashank Khaitan’s film ‘Dhadak’. The actress received a lot of appreciation and love from the audience for her debut performance. She garnered a lot of limelight with her acting in films like ‘Gunjan Saxena: The Kargil Girl’ and ‘Roohi’.

Late actress Sridevi wanted her daughter Jhanvi to become a doctor. However, Starkid had clearly told his mother that he did not have the understanding to make a career in the medical field.

This is because Boney Kapoor did not want his daughter to be a part of the glamor world and she had to face any rejection or struggle to get into films.

During the promotion of her debut film ‘Dhadak’ with Ishaan Khattar, Jhanvi revealed that Udaipur and Florence are her favorite holiday destinations.

Jhanvi once said that whenever she feels sad, her father Boney Kapoor goes to her. She always keeps sharing her thoughts with her father. Apart from Boney, his sisters Khushi, Anshula and Arjun support him.

Just before Jhanvi’s birth, her mother Sridevi and Anil Kapoor’s film ‘Judai’ was released in theatres. The film was produced by Boney Kapoor. The producer and Sridevi liked the name Jhanvi of Urmila Matondkar’s character in the film very much and hence they named their daughter the same.

Sridevi died even before Jhanvi Kapoor debuted on the silver screen. However, soon after the funeral ceremony she reached the sets of Dhadak and started shooting. The actress had said that she was devastated and kept working to divert her mind.

Talking about love life, Jhanvi Kapoor is dating Shikhar Pahadia. The couple is often spotted with each other. Recently in Koffee with Karan, he had revealed that Shikhu is always on his speed dial.
