Haryana Steelers are returning home after a gap of four years and will be heading towards the Tau Devi Lal Stadium with every step when they take on three-time champions Patna Pirates on Friday. The Steelers will play four matches in their home leg in the current season. Haryana Steelers, who are currently placed sixth in the league table, are looking to seal their place in the playoffs. The team has won four out of its last five matches and now it would like to not only continue the winning streak in front of its fans but would also like to gift them the ticket for the playoffs.
Ahead of the home leg, Haryana Steelers head coach Manpreet Singh said, “We are really excited to have the Pro Kabaddi League back in our home, Panchkula. I hope that fans will watch some exciting matches and their wait to see their favorite players in live action will be over. There is a lot at stake here and I believe that with the support of the fans, hopefully we will secure our place in the playoffs. We are looking forward to a great and successful Panchkula leg of the Pro Kabaddi League.
Playing in front of our home crowd will be a great experience and I am looking forward to it, said Haryana Steelers vice-captain Jaideep Dahiya at the press conference. We know what we have to play for and the team is ready to achieve it. We are not taking anything lightly. We will take our home leg match by match and hope that we can qualify for the playoffs.
As part of the home leg experience, the stadium will host a Dhaakad fair. Held in honor of the state and its culture, the fair will feature entertainment, music, food and much more. Gates for the fair will open at 6 pm every day. On this occasion, Haryana Steelers raider Vinay said, the team is looking forward to playing its home leg matches after a gap of four years.
