Ranchi. The fourth match of the five-match Test series between India and England will start from February 23 in Ranchi. Before this match, England’s vice-captain Ollie Pope believes that captain Ben Stokes can also try his hand at bowling.

Ben Stokes has taken 197 wickets in Tests at an average of 32.07. However, he last bowled in this format during the second Ashes Test at Lord’s last year due to a left knee problem.

After playing in the ODI World Cup in India as a specialist batsman, Stokes underwent knee surgery in November and has recently resumed bowling in the nets.

After the embarrassing defeat in the Rajkot Test and losing 2-1 in the series, England captain Ben Stokes had hinted towards bowling from the next match i.e. the fourth Test.

Ollie Pope said, “It is definitely a possibility. However, Stokes has not confirmed it yet. Let’s see what happens. Well, he has had bowling practice. If he feels okay then hopefully we can He will be seen bowling in the Ranchi Test match.”

Ollie Pope also said that if he has full confidence in his knee, then we will have to trust his opinion and the advice of the medical team.
