Sukesh Chandrashekhar has moved the Delhi High Court after Bollywood actress Jacqueline Fernandez challenged the ED complaint and its supplementary chargesheet in the Rs 200 crore fraud case in court. The petition states that the actor has appeared as a prosecutor in the case registered by Delhi Police and he had approached the Delhi High Court to get the money laundering case registered against him quashed. Now her former boyfriend and accused Sukesh Chandrashekhar has filed a petition calling all her claims false.
Sukesh Chandrashekhar’s petition
In his petition in the Delhi High Court, Sukesh has described Jacqueline as an accused in the PMLA case and said that she selectively makes him a witness in his case. The petition also states that the Bollywood actress has several times asked Sukesh to give a statement to protect her dignity.
Sukesh’s application said, “I would also make it clear that as the applicant has alleged that I have insulted his dignity or tried to intimidate or threaten him, it is completely false. This applicant has been filed with malicious intent.” Chandrashekhar has also claimed that the Bollywood actress has given her selective statement which only helps his interest, and this will be proved during the hearing in the ED case.
Jacqueline Fernandez’s petition
Jacqueline’s petition states that she has not committed any offense under PMLA 2002 related to money laundering nor was she involved in any kind of crime. It further states that the complaint by Aditi Singh, wife of former Ranbaxy owner Shivinder Singh, does not allege that the petitioner (Jacqueline Fernandez) in any way actively instigated the main accused Sukesh Chandrashekhar to commit the alleged crime. Or provoked.
Let us tell you that Sukesh Chandrashekhar is currently lodged in Tihar Jail of Delhi. He is accused of extorting Rs 200 crore from Aditi Singh from June 2020 to May 2021. Jacqueline’s petition in the Delhi High Court states that the evidence presented by the ED proves that the actor is, in a way, an innocent victim of Sukesh Chandrashekhar.
