Bollywood actress Karishma Kapoor along with her ex-husband Sanjay Kapoor went out for dinner at a restaurant in Mumbai. The picture of the actress was leaked on social media, after which it came into limelight. In the video, she is seen coming out of the restaurant. For the outing, the actress was seen in a printed floral outfit and black heels. Seeing the paparazzi, Karisma smiled and said ‘thank you’. Although Sanjay was standing near his car, the two did not speak to each other. In another video, Karishma’s daughter Samaira Kapoor is also seen with her friends. Samaira was seen in black dress and white sneakers.

Karisma Kapoor spotted on a dinner date with ex-husband

This is not the first time that Karishma and Sanjay have met. Earlier in March this year, Karishma and Sanjay had celebrated the birthday of their son Kiaan Raj Kapoor. Sanjay’s wife Priya Sachdev and their children were also with him. Karishma married Sanjay, a Delhi-based businessman in 2003. The former couple has two children, Samaira and Kiaan. In 2014, Karishma and Sanjay filed for divorce with mutual consent. Their divorce turned messy, with both parties making several allegations against each other, and was finally approved in 2016. Sanjay married Priya Priya Sachdev in 2017. They have two children – son Azarias Kapoor and daughter Safira Chatwal.

Why Karishma and Sanjay got divorced

In an interview to Hindustan Times after the divorce, Karisma’s father-actor Randhir Kapoor had said, “Everyone knows our credentials, we are Kapoors. We don’t need to run after someone’s money. We are not only blessed with wealth, but our talent can accompany us throughout life. Sanjay is a third class man. I never wanted Karishma to marry him. There is debauchery in his system and he never cared for his wife. He kept cheating on my daughter and is living with another woman. Whole Delhi knows how he is. I would not like to say anything more than that.”

Karisma Kapoor made her OTT debut with the 2020 web series Mentalhood. Fans will see Karishma in the upcoming series Brown helmed by Abhinay Deo. Brown is based on Rita Brown, a suicidal alcoholic, and Arjun Sinha, a widower with survivor’s guilt. Apart from this, he also has director Homi Adajania’s next Murder Mubarak with Sara Ali Khan. She will also be seen in a film, which is going to release after 12 years in 2024.
