Sunny Deol preparing to create history, 25 crores on the first day, OMG-2 is far away

Sunny Deol and Ameesha Patel are on the verge of creating history with their much awaited film Gadar 2. As per reports, the Anil Sharma directorial is setting new records with its advance booking numbers. Trade analyst Taran Adarsh ​​has revealed that Gadar 2 has already seen ‘extraordinary’ sales of advance tickets, crossing 76,000 bookings for its opening day.

Information from Taran Adarsh ​​indicates that PVR alone has sold 33,000 tickets for the first day of Gadar 2. Besides this, INOX and Cinepolis have joined the boom by selling 25,500 and 18,100 Gadar 2 tickets respectively for August 11. This total is over 76,600 tickets already sold for the film’s opening day. The buzz around Gadar 2 is so strong that it is being speculated that it will achieve the second biggest opening of the year surpassing only ‘Pathan’. Industry analysts estimate that the film is set to take a massive opening at the box office, potentially earning around Rs 25 crore. It is a love story between a Muslim girl named Sakina (Ameesha Patel) and an Indian Sikh boy named Tara Singh (Sunny Deol). In this sequel, Tara Singh will once again cross the border, this time in search of meeting his son. However, it is worth noting that Gadar 2 will face competition from Akshay Kumar’s Oh My God 2 at the box office. Utkarsh Sharma, who played Sunny Deol’s son in Gadar 2, shared his thoughts on the clash, and asserted that both the films can co-exist harmoniously. He highlighted the need to revive the celebratory atmosphere that was once associated with multiple simultaneous releases.

Gadar 2 is expected to continue the legacy of its predecessor. Sunny Deol shared his anticipation about the film’s performance, acknowledging the uncertainty surrounding the success of Gadar initially and expressed hope that Gadar 2 follows the same path. The film which is set to release on 11th August along with OMG 2 is creating a lot of hype ahead of its release.

Directed by Amit Rai, OMG 2 is also expected to register substantial sales in advance tickets, aiming to sell around 60,000 tickets a night before the release. Gadar 2, on the other hand, is trying to surpass this figure, aiming to sell over 2,00,000 advance tickets, which would potentially result in the opening day collections crossing Rs 20 crore.

Sunny Deol had earlier expressed his feelings about Gadar 2, mentioning his initial hesitation to watch his favorite film again. However, after being impressed with the script narrated by Anil Sharma, he decided to embark on this cinematic journey once again. Gadar 2 with OMG 2, promising a power-packed cinematic performance, is all set to hit the theaters on 11th August.
