Actress Swara Bhaskar and Samajwadi Party youth leader Fahad Ahmed had a court marriage earlier this year under the Special Marriage Act. Swara Bhaskar, who recently tied the knot with Fahadh Ahmed. They hosted a reception for their friends and family in Delhi on 16 March. The couple shared beautiful pictures from the Haldi, Mehendi and Sangeet ceremonies. On Thursday both reached for the reception hand in hand. Swara was in a pink lehenga and Fahad was dressed in a cream colored sherwani. Swara completed her look with heavy accessories and maang tikka. She was also seen flaunting her mangalsutra. Several political dignitaries like Rahul Gandhi, Shashi Tharoor, and Arvind Kejriwal blessed the newlyweds at Swara Bhaskar’s wedding reception.

Combining the names of Swara and Fahadh, the couple dubbed their wedding festivities as #SwaadAnusaar. Both were looking very beautiful in their wedding reception held in Delhi.

Congress leader Rahul Gandhi blessed the newly married couple at the reception. The actress recently attended Rahul’s Bharat Jodi tour in Madhya Pradesh in December.

Since Fahad Ahmed belongs to the Samajwadi Party, his party member Jaya Bachchan supported him and also represented Bollywood at the ceremony.

Delhi Chief Minister and Aam Aadmi Party leader Arvind Kejriwal arrived to bless the couple at the lavish wedding reception in the capital.

Diplomat and Congress leader Shashi Tharoor congratulated newlyweds Swara and Fahad on their wedding and also posed for photographs at a ceremony in Delhi.
