The ultra-fine particles of gold used in beauty products called ‘Swarna Bhasma’ not only help in maintaining the outer glow of your skin but also help in limiting the effects of aging. Experts said this on Friday. National President of Integrated Medicine Federation (AYUSH) Dr. R.P. Parashar said that Swarna Bhasma is easily absorbed by the skin.
He said that Swarna Bhasma is an integral part of various Ayurvedic medicines which helps in maintaining youth and potentially provides nutrition to various systems of the human body. Dr. Parashar said that the rejuvenating, immune strengthening, beautifying and healing properties of gold have been recognized in Ayurveda for thousands of years and it is known as the key to strength, vitality and youth. He said, ‘It is known to slow down the loss of collagen (a type of protein) and help in cell regeneration. Swarna Bhasma is an extremely powerful anti-aging agent as it improves metabolism, brings flexibility to muscles, strengthens underlying tissues, bones, nerves etc.’
According to Dr. Sanchit Sharma, Director of Amil-Ayuthveda, man’s effort is to maintain the beauty of the face, in which Swarna Bhasma helps and hence its demand is increasing among the young generation. Recently, in collaboration with Indian researchers, the Sparkling Gold ‘Face Wash’ prepared by Emil mixed Kashmiri saffron, rose, lotus and marigold flower extracts with 24 carat gold nano particles and studied its effect. Researchers found that while ingredients like rose help in retaining moisture in the skin and eliminating blemishes, lotus ensures the revival of skin cells, thus helping in keeping one’s skin in a balanced form.
