Swatantra Veer Savarkar could earn only Rs 8 crore in 4 days

Randeep Hooda starrer Swatantra Veer Savarkar, which released last Friday, has proved to be a complete failure at the box office. This film also did not get any benefit from Holi holiday. According to a report, the film has earned around ₹8.25 crore in India so far. Swatantra Veer Savarkar was released in Hindi and Marathi on Friday.

On Friday, the film had a combined business of Rs 1.05 crore in Hindi and Marathi, which included a share of Rs 1.04 crore in Hindi and only Rs 1 lakh in Marathi. On its second day, Saturday, it grossed ₹2.25 crore, on its third day, Sunday, it grossed ₹2.7 crore in Hindi in India and as per initial estimates, it grossed ₹2.25 crore on its fourth day. Swatantra Veer Savarkar had an overall Hindi occupancy of 29.61 percent on Monday.

Apart from directing the film, Randeep also acted in it. He underwent a massive physical transformation for the lead role. The film is a cinematic portrayal of Vinayak Damodar Savarkar, one of India’s most influential figures during the freedom struggle. He is also known as Swatantra Veer Savarkar. The film depicts his journey and struggle for India’s independence.

Swatantra Veer Savarkar also stars Ankita Lokhande and Amit Sial. It is produced by Zee Studios, Anand Pandit, Sandeep Singh, Randeep Hooda and Yogesh Rahar. It is co-produced by Roopa Pandit, Sam Khan, Anwar Ali and Panchali Chakraborty.
