Mumbai: The story of the film ‘Swatantryaveer Savarkar’ starts with the plague epidemic. Savarkar’s father was infected with the plague epidemic. British police officers burn alive all the people infected with the plague epidemic, including Savarkar’s father. Savarkar has hatred towards the British rule since childhood. After growing up, Abhinav forms the Bharat Secret Society for the independence of the country and in this organization he joins the youth of the country who want to liberate India from the slavery of the British.

He goes to London to study law and tries to strengthen his organization from there and due to this he gets sentenced to Kalapani. After serving his sentence in Kala Pani, he is arrested for his involvement in the conspiracy to assassinate Mahatma Gandhi, but is released due to lack of evidence. Randeep Hooda himself took charge of the directorship of this film. Even though this is the first film under the direction of Randeep Hooda, the brilliant manner and depth with which he has presented this film is praiseworthy. While watching the punishment scenes of Kalepani gives goosebumps, the scenes of the film also become quite impressive.

The pace of the film is a little slow before the interval, but after the interval the film holds its own and many dialogues in the film even lead to applause in the cinema hall. Only Randeep Hooda will be seen in the entire film. Looking at Randeep it seems that hardly anyone could have been cast better than him in the role of Savarkar. It felt as if we were seeing Savarkar on screen. Randeep Hooda has done extraordinary acting in the Kaala Paani sequence. The hard work he has put in for this role is clearly visible on screen. Amit Sial in the role of Savarkar’s brother and Ankita Lokhande in the role of his wife have impressed.

Apart from this, the casting could have been a little better, like a better actor could have been taken for the role of Gandhiji. The actor playing the character of Dr. Ambedkar also did not look good. The one liners and dialogues of the film will make you clap. The dialogues between Mahatma Gandhi and Savarkar are quite funny. Amazing ideological differences have been shown between the two. There are some scenes which can make you emotional. Cinematography also deserves praise. Cinematographer Arvind Krishna has tried to show very well what India would have been like before independence. The color tone of the film has been kept dark. If you want to know the sacrifice and dedication of Savarkar, then you can definitely go for this film. The film Swatantra Veer Savarkar has been released today. Based on the life of Veer Savarkar, this film is of 2 hours 58 minutes.

Dainik Savera Times and News Media Network rated the film 2.5 stars out of 5.
