The singer said, ‘This guy told me it’s a super-duper hit track and sent it to me. Tears welled up in my eyes when I heard it, I immediately turned to YouTube and listened to my original song from the movie multiple times. Only then did peace come to my mind.
Famous singer Anuradha Paudwal, who has lent her voice to superhit songs of Bollywood films, has criticized the trend of remix songs. Anuradha revealed during an interview that she feels like crying when she hears remixes of 90s songs. The singer said this while discussing the song ‘Aaj Phir’ from ‘Hate Story 2’, which was a remix of the original song from the 1988 film ‘Dayavan’. Let me tell you, Anuradha gave her voice to the original song of the film. Talking about this song in an interview, the singer said, ‘This person told me that this is a super-duper hit track and sent it to me. Tears welled up in my eyes when I heard it, I immediately turned to YouTube and listened to my original song from the movie multiple times. Only then did peace come to my mind.
Singer Arijit Singh has lent his voice to the remix song of ‘Aaj Phir’. That’s why Arijit’s fans did not like Anuradha Paudwal’s criticism of the song. Fans started trolling Anuradha mistaking the singer’s criticism as a sarcasm on Arjit. Now the singer has released a statement on her social media handle. Explaining her stand, Anuradha wrote, ‘I have always preferred original songs rather than remixes. Many people feel this way. My comment about ‘Aaj Phir Tum Pe’ was about the remix and not the singer. The remix should do justice.
Anuradha Paudwal further wrote, ‘Many songs from the nineties have been recreated but they do no justice to the original. We have also paid tributes to the musicians, but they have been done decently. I would urge respected media not to sensationalize the statements..the world doesn’t have enough things to talk about. If they should be allowed to speak about the cause we have taken up to give a voice to the underprivileged.’
