Bipasha Basu became a mother on 12 November 2022 and Karan named her daughter Devi. Recently, during a live chat with Neha Dhupia, Bipasha made such a revelation that everyone was surprised to know.

Bipasha revealed that her daughter Devi had two holes in her heart. She was suffering from Ventricular Septal Defect (VSD) since birth. Devi had surgery three months later. Bipasha Basu and Karan Singh Grover welcomed their first child on November 12, 2022. The couple named her Devi Basu Singh Grover, and also shared a post to announce her name. Talking about her journey, Bipasha says, “Our journey has been very different from any normal parent, it is more difficult than the smile that is on my face right now, I would not wish that to any mother. So be it For a new mother, it’s the hardest when you find out, I found out on the third day after my baby was born that our daughter had two holes in her heart, I thought I wouldn’t share it, but I am sharing this because I feel there are many mothers who helped me with this, and it was very difficult to find those mothers”.
