Mumbai | Bollywood actress Neena Gupta will soon be seen in the film ‘Hindi-Vindi’. He says that the film brings Hindi to the fore in front of the NRI audience. The film is built around NRIs who have made an indelible mark on the global stage. The actress will play the role of a grandmother in the film who visits her grandson Kabir in Australia. The film revolves around the transformation of an Australian-Indian boy as he learns Hindi and embraces his cultural identity. Neena Gupta will be seen as Dadi, Mihir Ahuja as Kabir in the film.

Talking about her role in the film Neena Gupta said, I am happy to play an important role in the film Hindi-Vindi. Hindi is close to my heart and this film brings Hindi to the NRI audience. I look forward to working with young and talented filmmakers Ali, Jayanth and Aniket. The team is passionate about telling interesting stories. I am looking forward to shooting in Australia.

The film will be directed by Ali Saeed. Its screenplay is written by Jai Sharma. The film will be shot in Australia. The film ‘Hindi Vindi’ will be produced by Aniket Deshkar. Javed-Mohsin will give the music.

Produced by Australian film production 24Six Films, India-based Shah Entertainment Media (SEM) and backed by Screen Australia, the film will release in May, 2024.
