Los Angeles. ‘The Sandlot’ star Marty York’s mother, Deanna Esmail, has been murdered in her own home.

It broke the news on Friday, according to TMZ, reports PageSix.com.

Esmael, a sheriff’s deputy, was found dead inside her home in Crescent City, California on Thursday, according to the outlet.

On Friday, the Del Norte County Sheriff’s Office, where Esmael worked, issued a public alert in hopes of locating the alleged suspect, Daniel James Walter, her boyfriend.

Investigators tell TMZ that Walter, who recently adopted a new name: Edward Patrick Davis, is the suspect in Esmael’s murder. The alert says officers were able to locate Walter’s vehicle, although the 54-year-old man is still at large.

According to TMZ, Sheriff Scott, who worked with Esmael at the Del Norte Sheriff’s Office, said in a statement, “We are all heartbroken by the death of Deputy Esmael.”

“Our hearts and prayers go out to his family, friends and colleagues,” the official said.

Esmael’s 43-year-old actor son, York, best known for his role as ‘Yeah-Yeah’ in 1993’s ‘The Sandlot’, reacted to his mother’s death in a social media post on Friday.

“This is the hardest post I’ve ever had to write, but I found out last night from the sheriff’s department that my mother was murdered by a man she was seeing,” he claimed in a photo caption.

York explained, “The emotions I have right now, between anger, revenge, crying, are horrible.”

“A nationwide search operation is underway, please if you have seen this man contact the authorities immediately!” (IANS)
