New Delhi. Actress Kajol’s character ‘Noyonika’ in the web-series ‘The Trial’ exemplifies every woman going through expectations, matching the challenges she faces in balancing life.
In today’s society, women are often placed under enormous societal pressure and expected to excel in many roles.
Women have always been found ranging from being nurturing mothers and devoted partners to achieving success in their careers and taking care of household responsibilities. The journey of ‘Noyonika’ in the series reflects the experiences of these women.
Talking about it, Kajol said, “The best thing about Noyonika is that every woman identifies herself with her. At every point in life, women are taught to play the roles of being a good mother, a good wife and a good human being to the fullest.
Kajol said, “That was the moment where Noyonika thought she was perfect in everything and her world came crashing down. Then she realized that she can’t be good at everything, she can’t be a good wife, a good mother. When she feels that it doesn’t matter.”
She further added that Noyonika’s journey goes through like all of us women. “Some of the things we deal with as women, it comes to some a little earlier in life and some a little later,” she said.
The gritty courtroom drama, The Trial – Pyaar, Kanoon, Dhoka also stars Sheeba Chadha, Jisshu Sengupta, Ali Khan, Kubbra Sait and Gaurav Pandey in key roles.
Produced by Banijay Asia, the series directed by Suparn S Varma is streaming on Disney Plus Hotstar.(IANS)
