Many films have been made so far on the tragedy of Corona virus and lock down. Director Vivek Agnihotri has brought the story of the country’s scientists during the Corona period, who created the Corona vaccine for the country and saved crores of lives from the havoc of Corona. This is a history that everyone should not only remember but should be proud of, but in terms of cinema, Vivek Agnihotri has not been able to tell this story as effectively as was expected. This seems closer to a documentary. This story has not been able to come on screen with cinematic magic, so that the audience of every section can be proud as well as entertained.

The story is about the making of Indian vaccine

During the Corona period, when life was kneeling before death, the scientists of our country were busy in making indigenous vaccines to save crores of lives. Leaving my family and everyone behind. This journey was not easy because it was a race against time. It was not just the problem of time, there were many other things that stood in the way. Out of this, a group of media and social media was creating an atmosphere against it. It was spreading misinformation that the Indian vaccine is average compared to foreign vaccines. Due to this, the lives of Indians may be at stake. Amidst such claims, what did the Indian scientists make of the Indian vaccine and how did it prove to be the most effective vaccine? This story is about him. The story is told in 12 chapters. In which the issue of creation of Corona virus in China’s lab and the arbitrariness of foreign vaccines coming to India has also been raised.

Advantages and disadvantages of the film

The story of the film is based on Dr. Balram Bhargava’s book ‘Going Viral’. The story reflects the struggle of Indian scientists to create the country’s own vaccine. In which women had 70 percent contribution. This is such history. Which everyone should remember. This is the biggest quality of this film. At times the film makes you feel proud and at times it also makes you emotional. The film reminds us of the film Mission Mangal in some ways, but it has not been able to show the effective journey of women in the way it was required. Sometimes the emotions in the film seem forced. Along with this, nothing new has been shown in this story of the making of the vaccine, which is different. The episode just about catching monkeys has definitely become different. Balram Bhargava’s personal life has not even been mentioned. Director Vivek Agnihotri has tried his best to free his film from agenda. In the film, Kumbh has been held responsible for the spread of Covid. There is no mention of Tablighi Jamaat anywhere, but then it is understood that the film has come to its basic agenda. The blame for those dying due to lack of oxygen has been given to the Delhi government saying that they have purchased four times the oxygen required. It has been reiterated many times in the film that the central government believes in work and this government is not like other governments. Vivek Agnihotri’s narrative keeps appearing in the film from time to time. It is also strange to show Raima Sen’s character alone as a villain in the film. There was a need to add one or two more characters along with them to make the story effective. The climax has also been drawn out and weak. The cinematography of the film is in accordance with the story. Talking about the songs, the music in the film has been taken from Shyam Benegal’s television show Bharat Ek Khoj. Which helps from time to time in creating a different atmosphere for the story. The background of the film also does justice to the story.

Excellent performance by Nana Patekar and Pallavi Joshi.

Nana Patekar has been seen on the silver screen after a long time. The range he brings to the character of Dr. Balram Bhargava is special. He makes the qualities of a boss interesting with his dialogue and body language. Pallavi Joshi has once again given an excellent performance. Priya leaves a mark as Abraham. His hard work is visible even in the language of the character. Raima Sen has also played her character effectively. Mohan Kapoor is seen in a different style in the film, although he did not have much to do in the film. Girija Onk, Nivedita Bhattacharya and other actors have also done justice to their respective roles.
