Sasikala married Om Prakash Sehgal at the age of 19. After marriage they had two daughters. But after a few years, the actress started arguing with her husband and their relationship broke. Later she went abroad with a man. But she did not agree with him and returned to India. Sasikala had said that leaving her family and going abroad with that person was her biggest mistake. Ultimately, the actress died of cancer on April 4, 2021.
