In a special conversation with ‘Hindustan Times’, actor Vijay Krishna said on the film’s 100 crore collection that whatever response has been received is really positive. This is a different feeling. This movie is being talked about everywhere. Somewhere or the other the film has done something good in a positive way. People are connecting to it, whatever the method.

The actor also talked about his character. He told, ‘I am playing the role of Irshak. He is very lost like many people his age. He is originally a Christian who converted to Islam and later joined ISIS. It seems to him that everything is happening according to him. Even if he is forgetting his morality. Vijay Krishna further told that this movie is true. He says, many people in Kerala are sending us messages that this is real, this has happened to us or to people we know. I certainly believe so. I think even if it happened to one or two people, the story is worth talking about.
Vijay Krishna worked hard for the film
The actor worked hard to get into his character. He told, ‘I had read a lot of articles. Had been. I saw movies like Calipathe, also saw the web series The Family Man which talks about ISIS involvement. Watched many documentaries on this to get a basic understanding about the world we are living in, what kind of people are there, what kind of work they are doing.

When the actor was asked if he felt any insecurity because of the controversies surrounding the film, he said, “I was getting personal compliments as well as criticism on social media. But what I found most interesting was what a lot of people were saying, ‘We used to hate you a lot during the film, but looking at your profile, you look like a deity.’ It was really fun. They are praising me for playing a character they unanimously hate. Thankfully there is an understanding of the difference between the real world and the reel world, especially today, thanks to social media. Earlier what people saw on the screen, they expected the actor to be the person they actually are.
