Tiger 3, the third installment of Yash Raj Banner’s spy universe’s first film Tiger, has hit the screens. Despite everything, she has not been able to create the magic on screen that was expected. This film with good acting has remained average in terms of story, due to which this third installment on screen has become inferior to the previous two films, but the matter has not become burdensome either. The strong acting of the actors, tremendous action scenes and the presence of Shahrukh Khan have definitely made this masala entertainment worth watching in the theatre. The film keeps you engaged from beginning to end.
It is a story of friendship, not enmity with Pakistan.
The story of the film begins in 1999, due to which Zoya (Katrina Kaif) has a past with Aatish Rehman (Emraan Hashmi), which is dominating her present. This past forces Tiger and Zoya to follow different paths. Will Tiger and Zoya’s paths cross again? Will Tiger be able to face this past of Zoya? Which has created turmoil not only in the lives of Zoya and Tiger but also in the relations between India and Pakistan. This is the further story of the film.
Advantages and disadvantages of the film
Even in this world of Spy Universe, the enmity between India and Pakistan is the pivot of the story, but this time the writing team has given the responsibility of saving the enemy country or rather the neighboring country to India’s courageous RAW agent Tiger. After all, it is also Tiger’s in-laws. It is not a matter of enmity, it is a matter of friendship here. Which makes the story different from typical spy films. The film keeps moving between past and present. The first part of the film is slow. In the second part, the story picks up pace and there are a lot of twists and turns, but nothing happens in the story that won’t let you blink at the screen. There were a lot of expectations from the climax of the film, but it also failed to live up to the expectations. One of the good aspects of the film is the presence of Shahrukh Khan. As it was already decided that Shahrukh Khan will be seen in a cameo in this film as Pathan and he has shown a strong presence. This is the most profitable sequence of the film. Along with action, a special glimpse of bromance is also seen in this. The song music of the film is in accordance with the story. There are only two songs in the film, one a few minutes after the beginning of the film and one at the end, which while being good, do not hinder the pace of the story. The dialogues of the film have remained weak this time compared to the previous two franchises. There is not a single dialogue which has not been able to do justice to the star power of Salman Khan. Along with this, there is also a lack of witty dialogues. A little more work was needed on the editing of the film. There is also a spirit of patriotism in this story of restoring democracy in Pakistan. Ultimately, the song ‘Jana Gana Mana’ by Pakistani girls is filled with the same spirit. A glimpse of the third world of the spy universe can also be seen in the film with the glimpse of Hrithik Roshan.
Tremendous swag of acting of Salman, Katrina and Imran
Salman Khan has once again lived this character in his familiar style. Tiger’s swag, style and courage is still intact, once again he has brought it on screen through his acting. It would not be wrong to say that he minimizes the flaws in the screenplay with his presence. Katrina Kaif has also shown the same playfulness and agility in the character of Zoya, which she had shown in the first film of this series. Be it the towel fight sequence or the chasing sequence, he has shown his charisma on screen. Emraan Hashmi has been effective as a villain. Rest of the characters including Revathi, Riddhi Dogra, Vishal Jethwa, Kumud Mishra do justice to their limited roles.
