Two holes in the heart and 6 hours of open heart surgery, Bipasha Basu narrated her daughter’s condition

Mumbai (Best Hindu News): In an interview with Neha Dhupia, Bipasha Basu opened up about her daughter’s Ventricular Septic Disease (VSD) and revealed that her daughter had to undergo an open heart surgery when she was only three months old.
Bipasha Basu and her husband Karan Singh Grover welcomed their first child on November 12, 2022, who the couple named Devi Basu Singh Grover. Though at that time he was unaware that Devi was born with VSD.
The ‘Dhoom 2’ actress said that our journey has been very different from that of a normal parent. It’s more difficult than the smile I have on my face right now. I do not want this to happen to any mother. I came to know on the third day after the birth of my child that he had two holes in his heart.
The actress further said, “I had decided not to share this, but I am telling it now because I feel there are many mothers who have helped me in this journey…”
Talking about VSD, he said, “We were not even able to understand what VSD is. It’s a ventricular septal… We went through a bad phase. We didn’t tell our family anything about this. Both of us were surprised. We wanted to celebrate, but we were very sad.”
“The initial five months were very tough for us, but Devi has been brilliant from day one. We were told that every month we need to have a scan to know whether it is getting better on its own or not. But the kind of big hole it was, we were told it’s dangerous, you have to have surgery. And it is best to do the surgery when the baby is three months old.”
Bipashu cried and said, “How can you do open heart surgery on a girl child? Thinking of this makes you feel very sad and heavy. Karan and I waited for the baby to recover naturally. But in the first and second month we did not get any result. After which we made up our mind that we will get our daughter’s surgery done. The surgery turned out to be successful and now Devi is fine.”
However, later Bipasha smiled again and said that her daughter is very brave and she kept laughing even in such a situation.
