Uncut version of OMG-2 will be screened on OTT, children below 12 years of age will be able to watch

Akshay Kumar’s controversial film OMG 2 has done well at the box office despite clashing with Gadar 2. The film is striving to touch the figure of 150 crores. It is expected to cross this mark in its 3rd weekend.

Significantly, Akshay Kumar, Pankaj Tripathi and Yami Gautam’s film ‘OMG 2’ was in many controversies before its release. The censor board passed the film with 27 cuts. In this film, the makers have tried to give adult education, considering which the censor board gave the film an A certificate. This means that only adults i.e. viewers above 18 years of age can watch this movie in theatres.

Despite the controversies, the film, which released on August 11, has so far reached close to Rs 150 crore. Now director Anil Rai has given information about the OTT release of the film. Anil said in a conversation with PTI that we will release the uncut version of the film on OTT so that the class for which this film has been made can watch it. Along with this, other people should also watch and tell whether there was a need to cut something in this film.

We were heartbroken because we made the film for everyone to see, this can’t happen now. We requested the Censor Board to give U/A certificate so that children below 12 years of age can watch this movie but they didn’t. We tried to make him understand till the end, but then he went some distance, we went some distance. The film released with changes. We are glad that people liked the film.

The intent of the film was clear. Nobody wanted to excite the audience, so they liked it. We have presented the story in such a way that it does not look vulgar. We talked about reality, but with love and laughter. We have decided that we will show the original film, a film that the censors never wanted people to see, but the public has seen the film and given its verdict. If the censor board does not understand this then what can we say.
