Shimla. TV serial “Sarabhai Vs Sarabhai” actress Vaibhavi Upadhyay died in a road accident in Himachal Pradesh on Monday. The police gave this information on Wednesday.

The accident took place in Banjar area of ​​Kullu district when Vaibhavi Upadhyay, who was traveling with her fiance, lost control at a turn and fell into a gorge, Kullu Superintendent of Police (SP) Sakshi Verma told PTI. Vaibhavi tried to get out of the vehicle through the window, due to which she suffered a head injury which proved fatal, while the other passenger escaped unhurt.

The last rites of the actress will take place in Mumbai on Wednesday, Verma said. “Sarabhai Vs Sarabhai” producer JD Majithia shared the news of Vaibhavi Upadhyay’s demise on his Instagram account on Wednesday morning. He wrote, “Life is so unpredictable. A very fine actress, dear friend Vaibhavi Upadhyay passed away. She is best known as ‘Jasmin’ of ‘Sarabhai Vs Sarabhai’. He died in an accident in the northern state.”

‘Sarabhai Vs Sarabhai’ cast members Satish Shah, Deven Bhojani, Rupali Ganguly, Sumeet Raghavan also paid tribute to the late actress on social media.
Vaibhavi also worked in Deepika Padukone starrer ‘Chhapaak’ and TV shows ‘CID’ and ‘Adalat’.
