Vardhan Puri joins Bhatt camp; Working with Vikram Bhatt and Mahesh Bhatt, Mumbai News in Hindi

Mumbai (Bureau). Vardhan Puri made his Bollywood debut in 2019 with Ye Saali Aashiqui. When he made his OTT debut this year with Jio’s Aseq, he once again proved his worth as an actor with the supernatural thriller-horror film. Now the young actor is all set to expand his horizons with his next untitled film, in which he stars alongside veterans Vikram Bhatt and Mahesh Bhatt.
The film is being backed by a leading global studio. This film is directed by Vikram Bhatt and written by Mahesh Bhatt. Vardhan emphasizes that all three of them were planning this collaboration for a long time. He told, Interestingly, when I met Mahesh Bhatt sir for the first time in 2015, he told me that we will work together in the future, and his prediction is coming true.
Whenever director Vikram’s name comes up everyone thinks it will be a horror film, but Vardhan reveals that it is much more than that. He shared that the film is essentially a love story, but it is also laced with horror elements by Vikram. I consider myself fortunate to work with such brilliant filmmakers. “I loved the script because of its good balance between commercialism and reality and I was hooked from the first time I was given the narration of the film,” he asserts.
It is every actor’s dream to work with legends like Vikram Bhatt and Mahesh Bhatt and Vardhan’s dream has come true. The shooting of the film is going on and the actor is making good use of his time with these two actors. Being directed by Vikram sir is like learning something new every day or going to acting school every day.
He is a highly creative cinephile, who is passionate about his art. What I like most about him is his kind and loving nature, which makes anyone feel safe on the set. He loves his artistes so much that he wants to give them his 500%, he said. He is getting to learn equally from Mahesh Bhatt.
The actor said, “One of the wonderful things about my experience so far on this film is that Mahesh Bhatt sir has been spending a lot of time with us on our sets. He is very emotional about cinema and has a deep understanding of this medium. He often directs us and we give the most amazing notes and instructions to the artists.
Vardhan told that the shooting of the film has various schedules and he will start the next schedule in a few weeks. Avika Gor stars with Vardhan in this untitled film and she is very excited about this fresh pairing on screen.
Talking about his co-star he says, I am really enjoying working with Avika. He is extremely professional and talented. We have become good friends because we both have a passion for acting and writing. Since she has been acting for the screen from such a young age, her experience is immense. There is always a lot to learn from your co-stars.
Vardhan is truly working with the best of the best in the film industry. Apart from these two stalwarts, the actor is working with several established filmmakers including National Award-winning director Vivek Ranjan Agnihotri in his next film. The film titled Nautanki will also star Anupam Kher, Pallavi Joshi and the late Satish Kaushik and Vardhan has got to learn a lot from all these amazing talents.
