New Delhi: Following in the footsteps of Ajinkya Rahane and Cheteshwar Pujara, Team India’s young opener Prithvi Shaw has made a county debut. Prithvi is running out of Team India due to poor form. Senior players like Pujara and Rahane have also regained their form by doing well in the county. Although Prithvi Shaw’s debut in the county was nothing special.

In his first match for Northamptonshire, Prithvi got out in a strange way, due to which a video of him is becoming very viral on social media. In fact, when Prithvi Shaw came out to bat for Northamptonshire, he looked in good rhythm in the beginning but he could not handle a dangerous bouncer from Paul van Meekeren.
Paul van Meekeren hit Prithvi with such a dangerous bouncer in the 16th over of the innings that he lost his balance. After this, he staggered and fell and his bat hit the wicket. In this way he got out hit wicket after scoring 34 runs in his debut match.

However, before this, Prithvi had shown a great game in the warm-up match. He scored an innings of 65 runs in just 39 balls but he will never forget the way he got out in the debut match.

IPL 2023 was not special

The Indian Premier League 2023 season was also nothing special for Prithvi Shaw. He had a chance to make his comeback in Team India by performing well for Delhi Capitals in IPL but it did not happen. His bat remained silent throughout the season. He was not even included in the playing XI in many matches. In such a situation, he now has only one way left with the county through which he can return to Team India.
