Vikrant Massey told why he left TV? Said- ‘I got money from this but I did not get peace’

Actor Vikrant Massey recently opened up about his career and relationship with money. In a recent interview with Unfiltered by Samdish, the actor revealed how he learned some valuable lessons about money and respect in life.
facing discrimination in college
In the conversation, Vikrant opened up and told how he was discriminated against when his friends saw where he lived. He also said that when his friends saw his house, their behavior towards him changed. He further said, “I once invited some of my close friends in college to my house. My mother cooks very well, so I invited everyone home to eat. But when they saw my house, the plastic chairs, the peeling paint, the leaking roof, how not clean the kitchen was, their behavior changed… they left within an hour of my coming home. Later I saw their chats saying bad things about my house.
Leaving a career in television
The actor said that this made him think that earning money was the only way to gain respect, but he realized that it did not give him peace. They said “I earned a lot of money while working in TV. I bought my first house at the age of 24, I was earning 35 lakhs per month. This was a huge thing for someone from a family like mine, where we had to struggle to make ends meet. They said Even after buying a house, paying off the loan, and giving a better life to my parents, I could not sleep peacefully. I left the job at that level because good work felt more important. All my savings were gone and Sheetal (his wife) used to lend me money to attend auditions.

Vikrant and Sheetal got married in a civil ceremony on February 12, 2022. They welcomed their first child on February 7. After working in hit television shows like Balika Vadhu and Qubool Hai, Vikrant left television to pursue a career in films. His first silver screen role was in the 2013 film Lootera. His most recent film 12th Fail was directed by Vidhu Vinod Chopra and was a tremendous success.
