Army has been deployed in Punjab province. The best commandos of the army have been deployed at the nuclear facility in Chang area. Khan has been arrested by the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) on charges of a 60 billion Pakistani rupees scam. Khan’s trial continues before a special NAB judge in a temporary court at an undisclosed location. A decision can come soon on this. NAB has asked for physical remand of 14 days. The probe agency has also sought issuance of arrest warrant for Khan’s wife Bushra. The judge has reserved judgement.
Red alert has been issued in Islamabad. The staff of Foreign Embassies and Consulates have been advised not to venture out. According to Pakistan’s TV channel ‘Duniya News’ – Internet has been stopped in the entire country. PTI workers ransacked the Army Headquarters in Rawalpindi late on Tuesday night. In Lahore, the Governor’s House and the Army Commander’s house were burnt. The houses of many army officers were attacked.
