Visa cardholders will get free lounge service in case of flight delay at any airport in Asia

All eligible Visa cardholders in the Asia Pacific region can now access premium airport lounges in case of flight delay or cancellation.
The partnership has been signed between Collinson and Visa, the owner and operator of Priority Pass and SmartDelay. The partnership will provide Visa cardholders in Asia access to Collinson Airport lounges in the event of flight delays.
One in five flights in Asia is delayed
Looking at flight delay data, nearly 1 in 5 flights in Asia are delayed by at least 15 minutes. In this entire region, 3.3 crore passengers have to wait for more than an hour for flights. The problems of passengers have increased due to flight delays.
Free lounge service available in case of flight delays
Collinson’s SmartDelay customers receive immediate benefits without any claim forms. As soon as the passenger learns that the flight is canceled or delayed, he can immediately reach the lounge. If needed, they will also get free food and drinks there.
What is SmartDelay and how does it work?
Visa SmartDelay is a service in which you can avail access to airport lounges during flight delays.
You register your flight with the Visa SmartDelay service before travel. If the airline announces a delay, if the flight is scheduled to take off with a significant delay, you will receive a LoungeKey™. LoungeKey™ will give you access to a network of over 1000 airport lounges worldwide. This service will be available for the main passenger and a maximum of 4 additional passengers on the same flight. All additional passengers will be registered and their names will be recorded.
When will you be eligible for the lounge?
You will be eligible for the lounge voucher if the following conditions are met
Access is only available if you have registered for your flight at least 24 hours before your scheduled departure.
This service will be available only when the airline announces a flight delay.
If you are delayed, you will have access to a lounge at your airport terminal that is part of the LoungeKey network.
