The election will be decided by the members of the executive committee of the federation. The IOA had constituted a three-member ad-hoc committee in April as per the Union Sports Ministry’s order and two members were nominated to look after the day-to-day activities of the WFI and select wrestlers for international events in the interim period .
The Union Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports had announced in April this year that the IOA would set up an ad-hoc committee to conduct day-to-day management of the Wrestling Federation of India (WFI) executive committee elections within 45 days of its formation. Many wrestlers against Brijbhushan

A charge sheet has also been filed against Singh in this whole matter.

State units meeting on Sunday
Singh held a meeting with several state units on Sunday at a five-star hotel in Delhi. He had claimed that he has the support of more than 22 state units. The total number of state units is 25. The scrutiny of nominations will be done on August 2 and the final list of candidates will be published on August 7. If elections are required, voting will be held on 12 August.
