The actor further added, ‘I like financial security now, because I have worked hard for 25-30 years. I love expensive phones, traveling, staying in nice hotels, I am not ashamed to admit it. I don’t want to feel bad about staying in 5 star hotels and traveling in business class. I want it for myself, and I want it for my family; I want to give them the best I can. If someone falls ill and needs a hospital, I do not want to be confused.
When Gajraj refused to reduce the fees
During the conversation in the podcast, the actor mentioned an anecdote. The actor revealed that he refused to reduce his fee for a casting director. The actor said, ‘They asked me to reduce my fees, said that there is only 20 days of work. I told them that I am not even taking any fee for those 20 days, I am working for free. I told him that I was charging him for all the years of ‘homework’ he had done to reach here. This was my fee for all those days when I survived on 20 teas, slept hungry, heard abuses, walked from town to Andheri… these 20 days are free.’
