Now there are many such faces on Bollywood and OTT, who have become quite popular or people are liking them a lot but still they are away from the eyes of the people. He has made his identity but he is probably hiding somewhere. One of them is actress Kavya Thapar, who was recently seen in ‘Farji’ web series with Shahid Kapoor. Kavya Thapar is an Indian actress and model who works in Telugu, Tamil and Hindi films. Thapar was born on 20 August 1995 in Maharashtra. Kavya has recently had a special conversation with ‘Navbharat Times’ and has told a lot on special aspects related to her life.

1. Kavya Thapar is new in the industry, how and what are her expectations from Bollywood?
I do not have any such special expectation from Bollywood. I just want to give my 100% in whatever I get. Whatever talent I have, I want to do the best in it. Just do better with what I’ve got.

2. Where starkids get more priority in Bollywood, how does Kavya feel about herself?
It is true somewhere that everyone gets some or the other privilege, if he is associated with someone. There is nothing to burn in it. You should be happy with what you have got. You cannot be jealous of anyone. Keep doing your work, you will get success.

3. What are your plans for Holi?
Haven’t thought much about Holi. I will just stay in my Guruji’s ashram. I am still here. I will celebrate Holi here with my siblings.

4. Women’s Day is about to come, what would you say on the fee difference between male and female actors in Bollywood?
See, the fees in Bollywood, be it female or male. It is based on you. If the work of the hero is more and the work of the heroine is less. So how can you think that you too will get the same fees. There is little discrimination which should not happen. Because today is the era of equality. But the fees are given according to your work. Ah tomorrow I get to work with Salman or Shah Rukh Khan, so obviously you will get less fees. It depends on many factors how much you are getting and how much you are asking for.

5. What have you learned so far as a woman?
I have learned love, reverence and devotion as a woman. Learned to stand up for myself in my life. Learned how to stand up for yourself as a woman. You can do everything a man can do. I have never found myself less than them. Learned to fight for myself and learned to make space for myself.

6. After entering the film industry, has there been any bad experience that you would like to share?
I don’t think I’ve had a bad experience. I just realized that acting is not a game. It is not easy to become an actor. Recently, I had an accident while shooting, from this I understood what an actor has to do, to do a scene. Besides, my Guruji has always showered his blessings on me. Nothing like this has ever happened to me.

7. What would you like to say on the issue of casting couch in the industry?
I will not say anything on the issue of casting couch because I have not had any such experience but yes, I have many friends in the industry with whom these things have happened and they are trapped in it, be it male or female, everyone This has happened. It is true that his position is taken advantage of. This thing is not over at all.

8. Apart from acting, what other things are you fond of?
Apart from acting, I love singing, dancing and painting. I also like doing service and satsang in my Guruji’s ashram. He is very fond of traveling. I also write poetry.

9. Which are the upcoming movies and with whom?
Among my next projects, there are only three films from South. I am doing one with Vijay Anthony, which is my Tamil film. One in Telugu with Ravi Teja and one with Sandeep, that too a Telugu film. Many good things are being talked about with this.

10. What is your family background, tell a little bit.
I am from a staunch Punjabi family. I grew up in Mumbai only. My whole family lives here in Mumbai. I live with a normal Indian family only. Parents and elder brothers live in the house. There are also four cats and two dogs in the house.

11. You have worked in both South and Bollywood, tell any major difference between the two, good or bad or both!
South and Bollywood’s way of working is very different. The biggest difference is the language. Because Hindi is the easiest to speak and on the other hand, if you want to speak in Telugu, then it is difficult for you. Everything is different in every industry. As the projects change, the work is different. There is a lot to be learned from both the places.
