Mumbai: The schedule of the cricket series to be held between India and West Indies from next month has been announced. The Indian team will be in the Caribbean Islands for more than a month in July. During this, a series of two Tests, three ODIs and four T20 Internationals will be played between the two countries. The tour will start from July 12 and the last match will be on August 12. Many young players are expected to get a chance under the captaincy of Hardik Pandya in the T20 format. In fact, Cricket West Indies (CWI) announced the schedule of this much-awaited tour on Monday. During this, both the Test matches to be played in Dominica and Trinidad will be part of the 2023-2025 World Test Championship cycle. Dominica’s Windsor Park is all set to host its first Test match from July 12 to 16. The second Test match will be the 100th match between the two countries, which will be held at Queen’s Park Oval from 20 July.
After the Test match, it will be the turn of the ODI series, which starts on 27 July. India will continue their preparations for the ODI World Cup to be held at home in October-November this year with a three-match ODI series. The first and second ODIs will be played on July 27 and 29 at the Kensington Oval Ground in Barbados. The third ODI will take place on August 1 at the Brian Lara Cricket Academy Stadium in Trinidad. After this, the last two matches of the T20 series will be played in America.
