Bajpai is a resident of Belwa village in West Champaran district of Bihar. He had met Lalu Prasad on September 18 last year at his 10 Circular Road residence in Patna. The meeting between the two came to know when Tejashwi Yadav shared its information on social media. “I am an actor and will remain an actor… where is the question of joining politics,” said Vajpayee, who has won three National and four Filmfare awards. About the Bihar government’s plan to bring a new film policy. When asked, he said, “The state government should immediately introduce a new film policy. If it is implemented at the earliest, the state, its artistes and its people will get a proper platform. The film fraternity in Bihar will heave a sigh of relief as filmmakers who want to shoot in Bihar usually look for shooting options outside the state. He said that Bihar has immense potential and scope for film production. He said that Bihar’s glorious past in the field of art and culture and natural cinematic treasures are enough to attract filmmakers.
The actor was in Patna to promote his recently released film “Sirf Ek Banda Kafi Hai”. He plays a lawyer in the film who fearlessly confronts a powerful tantrik. Urging people to watch his latest film “Sirf Ek Banda Kafi Hai”, Vajpayee said, “People must watch this film. The film highlights the struggles and challenges faced by a common man, the power and influence of one individual in bringing change and seeking justice.
