Hindu organizations protest against ‘Adipurush’ in Patiala
On the other hand, amid all this, some Hindu organizations protested against the screening of ‘Adipurush’ outside a prominent mall in Patiala city on Friday. Activists of Hindu organisations, including Shri Ramlila Committee, Jorian Bhathian, Bajrang Dal, Dharma Jagran Patiala, Vishwa Hindu Parishad and Dharma Rakshit gathered outside the mall on Patiala-Rajpura road and started protesting. It was alleged that the film was an attempt to hurt the sentiments of the people. Varun Jindal of Shri Ramlila Samiti said, ‘The police have banned our entry in the mall. We have asked the administration to stop the screening of the film immediately.
Dialogues of ‘Adipurush’ changed after protests
The film ‘Adipurush’ is based on the story of the epic Ramayana. Ever since its release, the film has been under constant scanner. From critics to reviewers and audience, everyone is angry with this film. People had expressed anger over some dialogues of the film. Dialogues like ‘Marega beta’, ‘Bua ka bagicha hai kya’ and ‘Jalegi tere baap ki’ written by Manoj Muntashir Shukla have been compared to Tapori language. However, in view of the protest, the makers changed these dialogues after 5 days of release.
