History of World First Aid Day
Talking about the history of World First Aid Day, in the year 1859, during the Battle of Solferino, a young businessman Henry Dunant was horrified by the massacre and helped many injured people recover. This incident affected him so much that he wrote a book called A Memory of Solferino in which he told about his experiences. He then co-founded the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) – an organization dedicated to providing first aid care and creating awareness about it. The organization declared World First Aid Day in 2000. Since then, this day Celebrated every year.
