Indian para shooter Manish Narwal won silver medals in the men’s 10m air pistol (SH1) individual and team events at the WSPS Para Shooting World Cup here on Wednesday. Narwal scored 236.7 and finished behind China’s Chao Yang (240.3). Jeongdu Jo of Korea won bronze (214.7) in the individual category.

The world champion para shooter then teamed up with Rudransh Khandelwal and Sanjeev Giri to win a silver medal in the P1 men’s team 10m air pistol (SH1) event. Earlier, Narwal was in third place in the qualification round with 574 points. Khandelwal (564), Giri (559) and Singhraj (546) failed to reach the finals in the individual category. In other events of the day, Indian shooters failed to make the final (top eight) in the men’s 50m rifle three positions (SH1) category in the R7 category.
Rakesh Nidagundi was the best performing Indian in the qualification round with 14th position. For the women’s 50m rifle 3 positions (SH1) in the R8 category, Indian Paralympic gold medalist Avani Lekhara finished fifth with a final score of 418.6. Mona Agarwal finished one place below her with a score of 407.9.
