Yash Raj Films launches casting app for acting aspirants

Mumbai: Production house Yash Raj Films (YRF) on Friday said it has launched a social media application for acting aspirants.
The banner said that emerging talent from across the world will receive information about casting calls for its films and series directly through the YRF Casting App.
According to YRF, the app will help studios deal with fake casting calls made in the company’s name. YRF said in a press release that this will enable candidates to register their profile details and submit their auditions to the banner.
Shanu Sharma is in charge of selecting and grooming actors for YRF’s projects. He will monitor all the auditions through the app. Sharma said the YRF Casting app is a ‘progressive step’ towards helping budding actors directly approach studios for projects.
