YRF releases lyrical version of Tiger 3’s second track Ruan

Yash Raj Films has always believed in creating secrecy around the YRF Spy Universe as this has created more anticipation among the audience. For Tiger 3, Aditya Chopra has decided to release the lyrical version of the second song, Ruan, to mark a major plot point of the film ahead of its release on Diwali, Sunday, November 12.

Director Maneesh Sharma revealed, “Tiger and Zoya are on a very personal and intense journey in this film, and Ruan gives voice to it. The way it’s portrayed in the film, we really wanted to keep such core stories the way they should be experienced – in the cinema, in that moment.

Roan is sung by one of the greatest singers of our generation, Arijit Singh, and features Salman Khan, one of the biggest megastars of Indian cinema ever.

Arijit Singh’s song is definitely a hit and is a bold decision by YRF because usually, one introduces such assets even before the release to get maximum buzz.

Manish says, “Knowing that we have this soulful song sung by Arijit Singh, picturized on Salman Khan, and having to decide to stop it – it has been tough.

He adds, “But we know that in the end, when you hear Ruan in the context of the story you will know we did the right thing! We think this is a huge, huge moment and it will add to the excitement around Tiger 3 on release day.”

Salman and Katrina reprized their iconic roles as super spy Tiger and Zoya respectively in the threequel Tiger 3! It is the fifth film in the cinematic timeline of the YRF spy universe. All the previous four – Ek Tha Tiger, Tiger Zinda Hai, War and Pathan – have been blockbusters.
