Upadhyay had filed an appeal in the apex court against the May 29 judgment of the Delhi High Court.
In this petition, he challenged the notification of the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) and the State Bank of India (SBI) to replace the Rs 2,000 bank note without any documents. announced its withdrawal. These notes can be deposited in the bank account or exchanged for lower denomination notes till September 30. However, Rs 2,000 notes continue to be legal tender.
