55th IHGF Delhi Fair from 15th March at Greater Noida

Greater Noida (Best Hindu News): Export Promotion Council for Handicrafts (EPCH) will organize the 55th edition of IHGF Delhi Fair from March 15 to 19 at the India Expo Center & Mart, Greater Noida.
Announcing this here today, EPCH President Rajkumar Malhotra said that in its Spring edition, the IHGF Delhi Fair is all set to present itself in a more divine and grand manner. The show will be held in 16 halls, with 14 major display segments across Home, Fashion, Lifestyle, Textiles and Furniture. Product classification wise House Ware, Home Furnishing, Furniture, Gifts & Decor, Lamps & Lighting, Christmas & Festive Décor, Fashion Jewelery & Accessories, Spa & Wellness, Carpets, Bathroom Accessories, Garden Accessories, Educational Toys & Games, Handmade paper products, stationery and leather bags. This time with a new range of handicrafts and gift products, collectively they present a complete spectrum of thoughtfully created concepts and products under one platform.
He also shared his views on the recently announced PM Vishwakarma Kaushal Samman (PM Vikas) scheme, a noble initiative aimed at benefiting traditional artisans and craftsmen, Vishwakarma, who work with their hands using tools . The art and handicraft created by them represents the true spirit of self-reliant India. He further said that the Council is already working on most of the aspects highlighted in the plan and it is expected that this new initiative will further strengthen the resolve of the Council to work towards providing gainful opportunities to the artisans spread across the nook and corner of the country. Will strengthen and contribute to the Atmanirbhar Bharat vision of the Hon’ble Prime Minister of India.
Rakesh Kumar, Director General, EPCH and President, IEML, said that in order to increase exports of handicrafts in the coming years, it is important that our exporters should take advantage of China’s ‘Plus One’ policy being adopted by various countries after the pandemic . India as a nation should try to be that “plus one” country and we should focus on exporting in JIT (Just in Time) and look towards fulfillment centers in overseas markets.
IHGF Delhi Fair – Spring 2023 Welcome Committee Chairman Awadhesh Agarwal said “Overall, there will be over 3000 exhibitors from across India, giving strong representation to handicraft clusters, production centers and artisan villages. Collectively, they are about to present over 2000 new products and over 300 designs. At the event, apart from the exhibitor booths set up in the halls, visitors will also get to see 900 permanent showrooms of leading exporters located at different levels of the India Expo Centre. Additional attractions such as buyer lounge and refreshment zone, theme pavilions, trend areas, craft demonstrations, fashion shows and panel discussions, knowledge seminars will prove to be an enriching experience for the show attendees. The focus of the show is vibrant theme based productions of crafts from Maharashtra, North East region and Tamil Nadu and other parts of the country, which will attract the overseas buying community.
