According to the news, this time the central government can increase the dearness allowance by four or three percent. Actually, the central government announces an increase in dearness relief on the basis of the AICPI data released by the Ministry of Labour. According to the AICPI data released from January to June, this time there may be an increase of 4 percent in DA and DR. Let us tell you that the increase in dearness allowance is done by the government on the basis of inflation figures of six months.
However, it is also being speculated in the media that this time there will be an increase of 3 percent instead of DA and DR 4. However, the final decision will be of the government and it will announce the hike accordingly. This hike will be done on the basis of DA hike formula of 7th Pay Commission.
Significantly, the DA of central employees and DR of pensioners are revised twice a year. The last time DA was increased by 4 percent in March. After which it increased from 38 to 42 percent. This time, with an increase of 4 percent in DA-DR, it will increase to 46 percent, while with an increase of 3 percent, it will reach the level of 45 percent.
