According to the US Geological Survey, a magnitude 6.2 earthquake struck near Hooke in the morning at a depth of about 120 kilometers from the surface. Earthquake tremors are often felt in the Philippines but it is less likely to cause major damage. Hue is about 140 kilometers from Manila.
