Washington. A top ISKCON official claimed that the high-rise temple of Lord Shri Krishna in Vrindavan, Uttar Pradesh will emerge as a major center of Indian culture internationally and will boost tourism and economy in India. Chanchalapati Das, vice president of the Global Hare Krishna Movement and senior vice president of ISKCON Bangalore, said there cannot be a dilapidated infrastructure for spirituality and temples cannot remain in a dilapidated condition forever.

Vrindavan Heritage Tower will be 70 storeys high and 210 metres, which is being built at a cost of USD 80 million. He said, let me give you another example in this regard. Our Honorable Prime Minister (Narendra Modi) has said in a statement that he is making an appeal to the Indian expatriates living abroad. Please bring five Americans from America to India and show them India. When you bring them to India then certainly anyone who comes to India from any part of the world is in search of spirituality.

When they come to India, they can undoubtedly see good airports, Das said about the under-construction Vrindavan Heritage Tower. All those things are and should be impressive and interesting. They may also be looking for spirituality. Now in such a situation, we should have spiritual infrastructure, religious infrastructure to bring foreigners to India and show them something that you can be proud of.

When you bring them to Vrindavan, you should have this kind of world class infrastructure built on the message of Krishna and so that is another important objective. Das said the Vrindavan Heritage Tower is an octagonal structure consisting of a north unit, south unit, east unit and west unit. He said that these are four temples. He said that there will be accommodation facilities in the temple complex, which will improve the experience of the tourists.
