According to Pakistani media, he said this while hearing the petition of former Prime Minister Imran Khan challenging the amendment in NAB (National Accountability) Ordinance on behalf of the government. The top judge of Pakistan said that the solution of all the problems in the country is possible only through the decision of the people (general elections). A three-member apex court bench comprising CJP Bandial, Justice Ijaz ul Ahsan and Justice Syed Mansoor Ali Shah heard the matter.
Opposition is demanding elections
In April last year, Imran Khan was thrown out of power by a united opposition in Pakistan by bringing a no-confidence motion. Imran sometimes tells foreign conspiracy and sometimes accuses Pakistani army. After coming to power, Imran did frequent events and took long marches till Islamabad. He was demanding the government to conduct elections in the country. But after the deadly attack, he ended the long march, declaring his party to be separated from politics.

Pakistan’s problems are going to increase
Presently Pakistan is facing the most severe economic crisis in the history. Its situation is becoming like Sri Lanka whose economy collapsed last year. Shehbaz Sharif’s last hope, the IMF loan, also seems to be fading away. The Pakistan government and the IMF have failed to reach an agreement even after 10 days of ‘prolonged’ and ‘difficult’ talks. Due to this, the country’s cash crunch may deepen in the coming times.
