GJEPC President Vipul Shah said in a statement, “We are supporting the Jewelers Association Bengaluru in setting up a Jewelery Park in Karnataka. Discussions are on with the State Government regarding allotment of land for the project and its finalisation. The project is expected to generate one lakh additional jobs in the region for the people of Karnataka.

Meanwhile, GJEPC also inaugurated the four-day India International Jewelery Show – IIJS Tritiya, which will conclude on March 20, a month before Akshaya Tritiya. Shah said, “From April 2022 to February 2023, there is a remarkable growth of 169 per cent in gems and jewelery exports from Karnataka.
