The magazine also conducted a Zoom interview with Khan, but instead of a question-and-answer format, quotes from the interview have been used throughout the article. Some have been talked about to highlight their achievements and some of their failures.
These days, former Prime Minister of Pakistan Imran Khan is seen going round the courts because of the cases against him one after the other. But since leaving the post of PM, he has not been able to keep himself away from the limelight of the media. The famous Time magazine has published a cover story on former Prime Minister Imran Khan in its new edition. His photograph is on the cover page with the title ‘The Amazing Story of Imran Khan’. The article also caught the attention of PTI leaders, and former information minister Fawad Chaudhry quickly put it up on his Twitter account, along with a picture of the title page.
The magazine also conducted a Zoom interview with Khan, but instead of a question-and-answer format, quotes from the interview have been used throughout the article. Some have been talked about to highlight their achievements and some of their failures. Some quotes were also used to back both positive and negative inferences for Pakistan and Khan. But Khan’s supporters did not like this approach and, as they often do with Pakistani publications, took their anger out on the magazine and writer Charles Campbell.
PTI supporter Maaz Ud Din wrote on his Twitter account, Time’s comment “does not go beyond the West’s binary, myopic and misguided view of the Muslim world. This article reflects the biased attitude of the West. Another PTI supporter Biya Agha claimed that the article tried to malign Pakistan by distorting facts.
