New Delhi. Adani Group company Adani Green Energy’s consolidated net profit in the first quarter of the current financial year increased by about 51 percent to Rs 323 crore. The company said in the information given to the stock market on Monday that its profit increased due to increase in revenue in this quarter. Its net profit was Rs 214 crore in the same quarter last year. The company’s total income rose to Rs 2,404 crore during the quarter under review as against Rs 1,701 crore in the same quarter last year. Adani Green Energy said it has become the largest renewable energy company in the country with an operational capacity of 8,316 MW.
In the April-June quarter, it sold 6023 million units of electricity, up 70 per cent from last year’s 3550 million units. The dedication of our team has been instrumental in achieving consistently strong financial and operating achievements, the company’s chief executive officer Amit Singh said in the statement. The company aims to increase its renewable energy capacity to 45 GW (one gigawatt equals 1,000 MW) by 2030 through solar, wind and hybrid projects.
