New Delhi. A group led by Asia’s richest man Gautam Adani is looking to invest in petrochemical and mining projects in Azerbaijan. Adani Group, spread from port to energy sector, is planning to further expand its business. The Azerbaijan President’s Office issued a statement saying that Adani had met the President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev in Davos last week.
According to the statement, the two discussed the attractive areas of Azerbaijan for foreign direct investment, the development of the country’s economy and the prospects of cooperation with the Adani Group in the petrochemical, mining, metallurgical industries, as well as other areas. Adani has over the years expanded its business to ports and coal mining as well as airports, data centers and cement and green energy.
