Gandhinagar/New Delhi, 10 January (HIST). Gautam Adani, the country’s richest man and chairman of Adani Group, on Wednesday announced an investment of more than Rs 2 lakh crore in Gujarat. This includes the construction of a green energy park, which will also be visible from space. This will create one lakh jobs.
Gautam Adani said this while addressing the 10th Vibrant Gujarat Summit 2024 here. He said that his group will invest Rs 2 lakh crore ($24 billion) in the next five years in the field of green energy and renewable energy. Adani said this mainly involves the construction of a green energy park, which will be visible even from space.
Addressing the Vibrant Gujarat Summit 2024, Adani said that in the last summit, a commitment was made to invest Rs 55 thousand crore, out of which the group has already invested more than Rs 50 thousand crore. He said the group is now building a 30 GW capacity green energy park spread over 25 square kilometers in Kutch, which will be visible even from space. Adani said that this investment will create one lakh jobs.
It is noteworthy that in this conference, United Arab Emirates (UAE) President Mohammed bin Zayed and many other prominent politicians of the world and industry leaders participated in this program as chief guests. Apart from this, leading businessmen from India and abroad including Mukesh Ambani, Pankaj Patel, Gautam Adani and Lakshmi Mittal were also present.
