Shares of most of the Adani group companies closed with gains on Wednesday. Shares of Adani Enterprises, the group’s flagship company, closed with a gain of one per cent. Earlier on Tuesday, the group had said that its books were in very good shape. At least six group companies were in profit while four were in loss. Deepak Jasani, head of retail research at HDFC Securities, said, “The market capitalization of Adani group companies continued to fall and fell 1.5 per cent on Wednesday. Four out of 10 listed companies of the group closed with losses. He said , that the group’s integrated market valuation has fallen 54.9 per cent since January 24.

Health of Adani shares

Shares of Adani Enterprises closed at Rs 1,778.45, up 1.61 per cent, on the BSE. The market valuation of the company is Rs 2.02 lakh crore. Shares of NDTV closed at Rs 197.20, up 4.70 per cent. Its shares rose up to five per cent to Rs 197.75 in the day’s trade. Besides, Ambuja Cement was up by 2.36 per cent at Rs 344.60, ACC by 1.13 per cent at Rs 1,851.55, Adani Wilmar by 0.93 per cent at Rs 397.25 and Adani Ports and Special Economic Zone (APSEZ) at Rs 0.68. Percent closed at Rs 568.95.

Fall in these stocks

However, shares of four Adani Group companies – Adani Power, Adani Transmission, Adani Green Energy and Adani Total Gas declined by five per cent each. Shares of Adani Power closed at Rs 140.90, Adani Transmission at Rs 1,017.05, Adani Green Energy at Rs 620.75 and Adani Total Gas at Rs 1,078.05 on the BSE. Adani Transmission, Adani Green Energy and Adani Total Gas also hit their 52-week lows during the day’s trade. The 30-share BSE Sensex closed at 61.275.09, up 242.83 points or 0.40 per cent on Wednesday.
